Dames meet for business, lunch and a speaker.
Annual meeting
Election of officers, lunch and a speaker. Past venues have included the venerable Hope Club in Providence and waterfront Conanicut Yacht Club in Jamestown.
Philosophers’ Receptions
The public is invited for scholarly reflections on Whitehall’s tranquil lawn periodically in the summer.
Dames’ Drop-ins
Every Tuesday Dames get together for a brown bag lunch. Books, ideas, recipes, tips and travel are shared in a casual atmosphere during the summer months.
Trips
Past excursions have included field trips and tours of Tomaquag Museum in Exeter, RI, Portsmouth Historical Society, lecture at Little Compton Historical Society, a stroll through members’ Weekapaug gardens and a visit to the historic Newport armory headquarters of the Newport Artillery Company
